Terms of Use
Last updated October 3, 2026
By using noums you agree to these terms. They're short, so please read them.
What noums is
noums is a free speech-practice tool, currently in beta. It listens while you practice and estimates the filler words you use. Those counts are estimates and can be wrong. noums is a practice aid, not professional coaching or advice.
Your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use noums.
- Keep access to your email or Google account secure, since that's how you sign in.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Acceptable use
Don't use noums to break the law, record people without their permission, interfere with or overload the service, try to access other people's accounts or data, or resell the service.
Your content
What you say and the talking points you write belong to you. You let noums process them only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
The service
noums is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Because it's in beta, features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, noums isn't liable for any loss arising from your use of it.
noums is free today. If paid features are added later, they'll be clearly marked, and you'll never be charged without signing up for them yourself.
Ending your use
You can stop using noums at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
Changes
We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top. Continuing to use noums after a change means you accept the new terms.
